Relining

The use of masonry tanks for storing water is common practice all over Africa. Building those tanks is rather ineffective time-wise and money-wise. Masonry tanks are also challenging in terms of maintenance and hygiene as they typically become brittle and crack over time. Bacteria that grow on the concrete can affect the quality of the stored water.

Maji has developed a rather simple and unique relining solution to solve these issues. In our production facilities we manufacture liners to fit the inside of masonry tanks. The waterproof liners are installed as a kind of bag inside the masonry tank. The liners form a waterproof protection against leaking.
