Water Tanks
Water is often stored in water silos. Because of our flexible production method we are able to produce the most efficient solution for you in the form of a steel silo. The product is a standard galvanized, corrugated, punched and bended steel silo. Our water silos are long lasting and easy to install. Amongst other things, the steel plates are unique because of their ability to retain their shape and because of their mechanical tensile strength.

The steel silo is not watertight on its own and therefore needs a waterproof silo liner (made of foil). A protective geo-textile is placed between the steel wall of the silo and the vulnerable silo liner so as to prevent punctures in the liner. In order to avert algae growth and evaporation, a cover is placed over the rim of the tank.
The water silos boast numerous advantages. Installation is relatively easy and quick. As compared to masonry tanks, installation time is redcued by more than 70%. The cost of the water silo is about 3 times cheaper compared to conventional products. Over the years the tanks have been installed in mountainous and earthquake sensitive areas and have survived without any damage. Using our water tanks complies with the goals of the Kenyan government to increase rainwater harvesting to safeguard food security and irrigation of Horticulture.
The water silo can be delivered as part of a complete 'Small Farmer Kit'.
