97.5% of all of the water on earth is salt water and only 2.5% is fresh water, of which only 0.3% is available for human consumption. The remainder is frozen or located underground. Water, and its availability, will dominate the world agenda in the decades to come. Fresh drinking water for daily use is becoming an increasingly scarce resource. Water stocks are further threatened by salination, pollution and drought. It is therefore essential that systems for storing, purifying and producing water are available to everyone. The MAJI water storage systems are easy to transport, install and maintain. When combined with the solar-powered Ultra Filtration (UF) and Ultra Violet (UV) solutions even river water or harvested rainwater can be turned into drinking water – at every imaginable location.
Hygienic water system
Our main concept is a steel corrugated tank with plastic, watertight membranes for storing water. Our purpose is to harvest water, purify that water by means of solar power driven technology, store it and distribute it to the end user.

Water is pumped (step 1) from a source to a pre-filter (step 2) to remove particles and sediment fractions. Step 3 is an optional step for eliminating odors and chlorines by means of an activated carbon filter. This step occurs prior to the main purification process (step 4) by means of ultrafiltration which removes pathogenic germs, bacteria and micro organisms. Step 5 is either storing the water in the water storage system or running the freshly purified drinking water straight from the tap!
